A PERSONAL MESSAGE ABOUT MY PASSION FOR THE WAY WE BUILD HOMES.
I’m Dean Jarvis, founder of VEDA Homes and this journey began with a question that changed my life:
What if our homes could heal, rather than harm us?
After years working under high-pressure in city finance, I became disconnected from nature, my health, and any real sense of purpose. My breaking point led me to travel, reflect, and eventually uncover the ‘Vedas’, ancient thinking that describes how we as humans are meant to live in harmony with the natural world around us.
Fast forward to my newborn son being hospitalised, seriously ill at 4 weeks old, because of the poorly built and badly insulated property we were renting, it became personal. I realised how broken our housing system truly is and how urgently it needs to change.
That’s why I created VEDA. To build differently. To make a stand against the low standard of housing in the UK and create homes that are considered from the ground up, with low toxin materials, clean air and water, and integrity in every detail.
